That picture cracks me up. It screams the 70's. Ok, most of you are waaaaaay younger than me, but I swear everyone looked like that. Of course I was the azn version with slicked back hair.!!!I just read about this new book that is out. Sounds pretty good. http://www.getmortified.com/book/

Green + Red = Suicide
No joke, apparently there is a theory that the suicide rate is higher over the holidays because green + red= suicide. I learned all kind of interesting stuff at este' school (hee hee) Certain smells trigger good or bad memories (aromatherapy class) and certain colors together are soothing and some are aggravating(spa/salon business class). So, actually I will admit it, I like Britney Spears, she is entertaining to watch! She can be so glamorous and so not! Paris and I share the same birthday so I won't bag on her too bad, I only watched The Simple Life 'cause Nicole Richie is HILARIOUS. Looks like Paris has one black leg and one white leg. And really, who is even looking at Brittney's legs.
hairs for the record
stanger: are you italian?
me: no
stranger: are you from new jersey?
me: no?
stranger: well you have big hair
me: huh?
so i've been asked if i was italian before, (no, just 2 italian husbands) i've been called "my big haired asian friend" on a busy street in front of a bar on a friday nite (by a best pal... she was drunk!)(and that name has stuck for years!!)i've been called tumbleweed (by a boyfriend in the 80's) i've been asked a gazillion times what color do i use on my hair. (i have never in my life colored my hair, not once) a bird once tried to land in my hair during lunch hour on the same busy street i was called a big haired azn friend and i have been asked if i was african american. oh and i've been called peg bundy once . my hair apparently has been the subject of conversation. so for the record. its all natural, no color added, i am azn/irish. having had the chinese mother that i do, i grew up with her pulling my hair into a tight ponytail and any pieces sticking out got smashed down with vaseline!!! wtf? and to make it more obvious, my sister had the perfectly straight azn hair. so forgive me if i still rebel and leave my hair in its natural wild state!!! while my mother has stopped commenting on getting my hair off my face, she is thrilled when i straighten it ! from time to time if people didn't talk about my hair i would wonder!!

Tom & Katie are married. Although I found more pictures of Becks & Posh. I wonder what they all have in common? Becks looks amazing in anything he wears, look, Tom is busting out of his suit!! I used to like Posh, but she looks like she has had major face work, including her nose and could her breasts become any more obviously larger??

Denver calling
My sissie sent me a ticket to CO. woot woot ... I am leaving on Monday and will return back to Cali. the day after thanksgiving. My sister is 2 years younger than I although if you met her she is more mature and poised than I and people tend to think she is the older sister. HA, see where imaturity gets you? younger:) The ticket is my graduation/christmas present. My daughters will be with their father for the holiday and my bro in law and nephews will be in New Mexico visiting his family. My husband will be with his parents and my sissie and I are spending 4 glorius days together! I will be studying for my state board and she will be organizing for a trip she is taking with her hubby and kids to South America for christmas. In between all that we will hang out and watch movies, and go for power walks and just simply enjoy each others company. Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Skincare Conference
evasesthetics.com/evas2/waxqueen
Let me start by saying that we have been looking forward to our first skincare conference since June 2006! Now let me say what a disappointment. I expected to see the best in skincare products as well as receive samples to prove the product. While Pevonia & Dermalogica & Eminence & Sampar were there, the rest seemed just average. Like you could find similar products in any drug store. Samples were sparse. Pevonia & Sampar handed out the most generous. Some of the companies ( i won't mention) actually wanted to charge us "1/2 price " for sample packs. We all agreed if the product was that gooooood they could sample it to us and we would be calling in our orders asap. Some of the participants were quite entertaining. Botox seemed to rule more than a few faces. Ah, but it is "their product " that gives that flawless skin. (wink wink) Half the time I was so busy staring at the waxy no expression faces that I really didn't even hear what was being said. I did attend a speed waxing class given by Lori Nestor aka The Wax Queen . Nothing like seeing a Brazilian on the big screen. That's right a volunteer from the audience came up, and plopped her vagina right up there for all to see, what the heck, it was FREE! Those can cost $60.00 & up. Lori gives a great informative class and she is hilarious. Besides that highlight, I bought some amazing essential oils. Italian Bergamont, Lemon, & Orange. The are going to make intoxicating steamed face towels. Well, I wouldn't have listened to anyone who said not to waste your time, as this was my first show. I am now planning on the Vegas 2007 show...... that one has to be good :)

Now it feels like winter is just about here! It is gloomy & raining here. I can't wait to go on my walking path in the rain! This weather makes me want to bake and EAT! If it is raining here its raining in SF. Thats ok, I leave tomorrow and rain or shine it is going to be fun. I have a couple fun hats I'll just throw on! Happy Weekend.

off to the city
This weekend The 6 are attending our first skincare conference . It is going to be in San Francisco and we cannot wait to go. We live about 2 1/2 hours south of the city, so it won't be a long drive at all. We got a couple rooms and we are ready to hit the show. We will be seeing all the latest & greatest in skincare and machines as well as demo's by some of the leading people in skincare today. I am very much looking forward to hearing Dr. Peter Pugliese speak. I'm going to learn about the latest in peptides.!! Out of the 6 three of us have graduated so it will also be a little reunion getting us all back together. One of my favorite views is the first view of the building coming off the highway. I always get to excited. Hmm I don't think its too soon to start figuring out what I am gonna wear!

All done
I am officially over with school! I never dreamed 600 hrs would fly & I would be sad to leave! School has been awesome. Besides making 5 new friends, it was like hanging out with your girlfriends in a spa salon all day! We had 2 hours of theory every morning, from anatomy to skin chemistry and product knowledge. Then we went on to the practical. Actually doing facials, skin peels, microdermabrasion etc..... It has truly been one of the best times. Once I receive my "offical" state test date I'm on my way. (ya, that's becks on my locker!!)
