the blog wide workout

So the Dummy http://datingdummy.blogspot.com/ started a workout group amoungst the bloggers. I signed up and I like it because it motivates me to do my walking. We all report at the end of the week and Dummy tracks our progress (or lack of!!) Anyway, my girlfriend lives a couple blocks away and she calls me to see if I want to walk. YES! I am so glad she asks me. She walks, she hikes, bikes and does yoga and is in great shape so I got all geared up to go. As I am walking to her house I get a text "meet me at the bakery?" sure, ok, we can meet there. Guess what! She went on a 3 hour hike with the husband yesterday so all she really wanted was to catch up over coffee and a giant cinnamon roll. wtf???? I didn't eat,! just had a cup of coffee. We chatted for about an hour and she said she needed to head home. Hmmm should I go home or walk?? Praise be, I chose the latter and went down to the walking path on the ocean and huffed and puffed by myself. At least I feel good I walked, but damn ... the bakery?? ****for a little inspiration check out: susanoseen.blogspot.com she has a great before & after pic.

lol! You handled that curve ball so well - that was great and you even got a workout out of it!

How many times do we mark you down for this week's roll call?

Oh, you deserve much praise! GOOD JOB! Talk about will power.

Do you find it easier to say no if you pre-decide that "no" will be your answer to all sweet and sinful things? For me, it's kinda all or nothing. I get on a "no" roll, or I get on a "Ok, why not?" roll.

(Sorry, no pun intended with the "roll"!)

I'm impressed! Turning a trip to the bakery into a workout, that's great! & way to keep up this week despite the holidays!

I would have told her to get outta that bakery and start walking. I don't care if she walked 20 miles the day before! She called you to walk NOT EAT! Good for you though for sticking to the diet.

Now I gotta go and visit those links you had.

You have stronger willpower than I!!! Good on you for maintaining your motivation despite extreme tempatation. I sadly couldn't resist the chocolates on offer today at work.

Must... try...harder....

Ohhh, hon. I am so out of shape after missing 2 weeks at the gym and eating my equivalent weight in the past week!

Good for you--a shining example!
